Our Constitutional liberties and our nation's prosperity are at risk in the hands of runaway government power. We (Citizens) must know our (their) rights and responsibilities in order to preserve them. As you study the Constitution you come to understand how poorly understood the Constitutional limits of the federal government are and the historical and philosophical principles that formed them. Our approach is simple. Start by learning the U.S. Constitution.
"The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government - lest it come to dominate our lives and interests." - Patrick Henry
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." - Nelson Mandela

Not long into the formation of our Nation, we realized that
if we are going to fight for Constitutional freedoms, we
had better understand what was behind these freedoms
we enjoy and educate ourselves all the more.
CAF sponsors neighborhood Constitution classes
throughout Chester County. Our general course is based
on and taught from two books -- "The 5000 Year Leap"
and "The Constitution Made Easy."
To date hundreds of people like you have taken this course
and many have told us what a difference it made for them.
The course consists of 6 weekly (two-hour) meetings in which video material is shown, and a facilitator leads discussion afterward. The course is appropriate for adults and teenagers and is a great activity for parents and teens to attend together. The atmosphere is casual and friendly.
Offered in a DVD and discussion format, we combine lectures from Dr. Earl Taylor of The National Center Of Constitutional Studies (nccs.net) and Rick Green from Wallbuilders (rickgreen.com). You will receive a clear overview of the U.S. Constitution and understand and appreciate the founding father’s thoughts on governance. You will also leave understanding how our founding principles are more relevant than ever and gain a renewed sense of your role as a citizen.
Attendance is free (CAF membership encouraged but not necessary!) We recommend a set of course materials, including two books, a pocket Constitution and other materials that are available at our cost of $25. Courses are made available in neighborhoods throughout Chester County, according to demand. We typically hold these courses at homes or community centers on weekday evenings, but if you are interested in other times we may be able to accommodate.
Alternative Course Options
CAF also offers a condensed four week course by Rick Green. Also for people who would like to learn the Biblical influence on the Constitution, we offer a six week study and lecture series by John Eidsmoe, a Constitutional scholar.
