Do you know how to catch wild pigs?  Socialists and our government have figured it out.   Read an article about the simple technique below.  Please be sure to read the short note that follows the article.

    How to catch wild pigs

Distributed by email - Author unknown

There was a Chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab the Prof noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student  told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while  fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist government.

In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked, 'Do you know how to catch wild pigs?'
The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line.

The young man said this was no joke. "You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are  used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence.

They get used to that and start to eat, again you continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The  pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to  eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.

Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten  how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America.  The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine drugs, etc. while we continually lose our freedoms just a little at a time.

One should always remember 'There is no such thing as a free lunch!!' also 'You can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper then you can do it yourself.'

If you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is the problem confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to send this on to your friends.  If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life you will probably delete this email, but God help you when the gate slams shut.

Think about the sides of the fence:  first side - welfare; second side - food stamps; third side - earned income tax credit; fourth side - public housing; gate - free healthcare???   The trap is complete and the gate is closing.  Time to tear down the fence.

Please call your reps and senator on this

Today, the Senate will invoke cloture on the 5-year farm bill, S. 954.  The 1150-page Senate bill costs $955 billion over 10 years and creates a new shallow loss program covering up to 90% of a farmer’s income – on the taxpayer dime.  Roughly 80% of the cost is related to food stamps.

What is a good citizen? – Thoughts from some of the Founding Fathers

In a time when half of the American people don’t bother to vote, one is startled to read that John Adams, in 1761, implied that one of the best reasons for literacy is that it makes people better voters, and hence, better citizens.

Less than two months from when Pennsylvania school districts were expected to begin implementing the controversial Pennsylvania Common Core Standards, Gov. Tom Corbett has ordered a delay.

Department of Education spokesman Tim Eller said the governor made that decision to push off the implementation date beyond July 1 after consulting with lawmakers.

Last week, it became clear in House and Senate education committees' meetings that not all lawmakers were on board with the move to these grade-level learning expectations that would have brought Pennsylvania public school instruction more in unison with the standards that 44 other states and the District of Columbia were in the process of implementing.

Please call your US Representative on the Farm Bill.  The Farm bill has had an increase in funding of 63% since 2008.   It is 1 Trillion dollars with 80% of it going to the Food Stampn programs.  Looks like certain members are supporting it just to help their relection - not because it provides anything valuable to farmers!   This is a food bill not a farm bill.  Make sure your US Rep. knows how you feel about this.

Michigan legislators are working to put the brakes on Common Core and restore authority over what is taught in Michigan classrooms to state policymakers, local school leaders, andundefinedmost importantlyundefinedteachers and parents.

As the Washington Times reports, “The state House on Wednesday passed an amendment, attached to the Education Department budget, that prohibits any funding for the controversial Common Core system.”

Looks like we may need to attend another meeting in Oxford -
to make sure that the Oxford Town Council hears what the citizens want

Oxford Mayor Geoff Henry is hoping to continue the dialogue on gun violence he started last month when he brought a resolution to council in support of federal gun legislation.

Henry’s resolution failed, but at Monday’s council meeting he had a new version of his resolution for members to consider.

“My hope is that council would at some point make some sort of public comment that ensures our community continues to remain safe from gun violence,” Henry said.

Council members will be looking over the resolution before they decide whether or not to act on it. In the meantime, Henry has scheduled a town hall meeting on the topic starting at 7 p.m. April 16 at the Oxford Presbyterian Church.

“I would like to engage the public in meaningful discussion of what we can do to prevent gun violence in our community,” Henry said.

Illegal immigrants are being released from detention across the country on their promise to return for future court dates because of possible upcoming federal budget cuts, Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed.

Under the guise of preparing for the potential economic Government farce which is sequestration, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency under the control of Obama's Homeland Security Department "led" by Secretary, Janet Napolitano started releasing illegal aliens who had invaded our country and were being detained by ICE.   Not deported - Released.
This is all a ploy by the Obama Administration to scare the American people and the leadership of the Republican Party to cave in to Obamas push for more tax increases and whatever else he wants. Obama's also threatening to cut funding for the military, teachers, FBI, CIA, and ATF agents, US Marshals, TSA agents, Air Traffic Controllers, etc....
Also, Bob Woodward of the Washington Post has been "threatened" by a senior member of the Obama Administration for saying that Obama was the one who originally presented the sequester idea and is now blaming the same on the Republicans.  Bob Woodward said on CNN that a "very senior person" at the White House warned him in an email that he would "regret doing this," the same day he has continued to slam President Barack Obama over the looming forced cuts known as the sequester.

On Wednesday he (Woodward) attacked Obama for drawing national security into the budget debate.

"So we now have the president going out (saying) 'Because of this piece of paper and this agreement, I can't do what I need to do to protect the country.' That's a kind of madness that I haven't seen in a long time," Woodward told MSNBC on Wednesday.

Things just continue to spiral out of control....
