Parents, Educators, School Board Members of Pennsylvania:

Remember the New Math fiasco?
What about No Child Left Behind?

Now we have Common Core, a nationwide one-size fits-all educational initiative, approved behind closed doors, without any field testing, legislative input or proof that it will improve educational outcomes.
Common Core is backed by the federal government and special interest groups that serve to profit from its implementation. Opposition has been mounting steadily amid serious concerns about the potential loss of local control over school districts which have become "laboratories" where our students and teachers are the guinea pigs for this costly experiment.

  • What is still to come as implementation continues?
  • How will Common Core affect the influence of parents and
local school boards on the education of our children?
  • What are parental options with regard to the extensive testing
    and student privacy rights?
