We have been holding our Emerg. Prep. Meetings for 1 year now and I think most would agree that they have been successful. We have covered a lot of important subjects and made a lot of new friends. More importantly, we have developed a community of citizens who are now working towards being independent if some type of emergency were to occur.
I think that this month would be a good time to look back at where we started and review everything we have done so far. Then, we can decide where we want to go from here. Are there subjects we want to revisit? Are there subjects we haven't covered and need to address? What are our priorities going to be? Can we do more outreach towards more new people?
Here is a review of what has been covered in the past year.
1) Chuck Freese, local emergency Coordinator, 2) Communication, 3) Setting Priority meeting, 4) Meeting with Founders Values in Delaware, 5) Go bags and bug out bags, 6) Food storage, 7) Janet Zies, Chesco. Emerg Coordinatior, 8) Water storage, etc, 9) Debrief from Hurricane Sandy, 10) Generators and power needs, 11) Chickens, gardens ect., 12) Bunny Welsh and Gary Morris, 2nd Amendment, 13) Financial Emerg. Prep, 14) Two meetings with Dr. Bob Hall on medical issues.
We can be proud of what has been accomplished so far, but there is always more to do. Bring your ideas, thoughts and snacks so we can look forward to another successful year.
