President Obama, according to many, is the most liberal man to occupy the White House since the founding of the Republic. True or not, how does one reconcile the two time election of a President with the annual Gallup poll of political ideology where Americans self identify themselves as follows… Conservative 40%, Moderate 35%, Liberal 21%.
Would you agree that there is a contradiction in these numbers considering recent election results? What do these political labels mean anyway? Are they valid or are we looking at this all wrong? And where do Libertarians fit in? As the staunchest advocates of the Constitution why are they left out of this poll and often out of the conversation?
Check your assumptions at the door. Let's join the conversation between conservatives and libertarians and ask the tough questions that need to be answered.
