SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS MONTH
September has been named National Emergency Preparedness Month. [Who Knew??] Since this has been a topic of great concern within the CAF organization, we want to do as much as possible to work on preparedness in September.
We are privileged to have as a guest speaker, Janet Zeis, the Chester County Emergency Volunteer Coordinator, coming to address the Chester County's plans and preparations in case some kind of emergency occurs in S.E. PA. We also will have a table discussion and Q@A
segment so that we all can have a chance to ask questions and clear up concerns that we might have.
I hope that everyone will come with their notebooks and questions. There are many different scenarios and emergency possibilities and it is up to us as individuals to do as much as we can to prepare and take responsibility for ourselves along with our friends and families. Educating ourselves is the most important step we can take.
We will have a pot luck snack, so if everyone brings something, we will have plenty to munch on!
