The Show Must Go On
If Washington could cross the ice-laden Delaware in freezing weather in rickety boats to risk risk his life and those of his men to fight for our independence, we can surely brave 1-3 inches of snow to help free all Pennsylvanians from the immoral Property Tax. Hence, we are moving ahead with the townhall meeting tonight. Please be careful, but still come out to learn about HB/SB 76 and how we can all help to bring it to a floor vote and get real property tax reform in PA.
Let’s get 2015 off to a rousing start! Join us on Wednesday, Jan. 21st to get an update on Property Tax Elimination (PTE) efforts in Pennsylvania. David Baldinger, PTE expert and lead activist for 10+ years, will provide his perspectives on PTE including foreclosure trends, key elements of HB/SB 76 (Property Tax Elimination Act) and what’s holding up passage of this key legislation in Harrisburg.
Also joining us will be Dean Klopp, leader of the Campaign for Liberty (C4L) grassroots group from the Berks-Schuylkill-Lebanon tri-county area. Dean will be sharing his experience with a novel and effective approach being used to get the attention of legislators. This technique was used successfully to influence a Democrat state senator to change his view on SB 76 last fall and help pass it out of committee. We can all learn from this presentation. Also, learn how CAF plans to use this methodology in 2015 to press for passage of HB/SB 76.
The meeting will be held at the Southern Chester County Sportsmen’s & Farmers Association (gun club) located at 720 Sportsman Lane, Kennett Square (PA). Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. and the meeting will begin promptly at 7:00. Come early to renew old acquaintances and make some new ones. Come out and make a statement about your fondness of ever-increasing property taxes and learn how you can be part of the solution.
