We are passing this request along from the Chester County Dept. of Emergency Services.  it is a great opportunity to get involved and give back to the community.

We are still in need of volunteers for this exercise. Families are welcomed to join and there will be lunch after during the hot wash. Please RSVP so we can have an accurate account for lunch. If you have any question please contact Chrissy, her information is below.
Family Reunification is a process to reunite children with their parents/guardians after an emergency or crisis has occurred.  Depending on the nature of the emergency or crisis situation, a child may be transported by bus to a Family Reunification Site.  Once all children are present at the reunification site, the child will be dismissed to an authorized adult.  The Chester County Department of Emergency Services is continuing to meet with several facilities within the county to determine which facilities may qualify as a reunification site.
The Chester County Department of Emergency Services, the Chester County Intermediate Unit, and the Pope John Paul II School, along with several other first response agencies will be conducting a Family Reunification Functional Exercise on Saturday, October 11, 2014.  The exercise scenario is an active shooter at Pope John Paul II School that results in an activation of a family reunification center.  The exercise goal is to work through the process of reuniting parents and children after an event.
The purpose of this drill is to identify any unmet needs and enhance the abilities of first responders, reunification deployment team, and other agencies involved.  This exercise should be utilized to improve the abilities of all agencies involved that are called upon to respond to an incident of this nature.
We are looking for volunteers to play the roles as parents and children.  If you are interested in playing, please fill out an Actor Waiver Form.  If a minor will be playing, please fill out the Parental Consent Form. Both forms are attached to this email.
Please see the attached flyer for details on the exercise.  Any questions please let me know!  I thank you for your help and support!
